FAQ
Who is it suitable for?
If you have sparse, uneven brows and want more definition and shape. If you want to reduce daily makeup application, or want to look 'made up' without having to draw in your brows.
What happens during the treatment?
We do a thorough consultation before proceeding. Your brows are carefully mapped to suit your face shape. We do not start until you are happy and approve. The ideal pigment is selected based on your skin tone, hair, and preference.
Does it hurt?
Most clients experience minimal discomfort. A numbing cream is applied before and throughout the treatment to keep you comfortable. Some clients even fall asleep! After the treatment, redness and slight swelling is normal. Clients describe the area as feeling similar to a light sunburn.
What is expected after the treatment?
It is normal for brows to appear darker in the first few days. There will be light flaking and scabbing during healing. The colour will lighten by 40% and soften after healing. The final results are visible after around 4 weeks.
What do I need to do after my treatment?
Trust the healing process! Keep the area clean. For 14 days, avoid beauty treatments, extreme sweating, sun exposure, swimming, and very hot showers. Do not pick or scratch the area. Please follow aftercare instructions
Is a re-touch required?
Yes. A re-touch is recommended 4-12 weeks after your first appointment. This allows us to perfect the shape, fill in any areas where pigment didn't retain, and adjust the colour if required. If your re-touch is booked after 12 weeks, an extra charge will be incurred.
How long will it last?
They should last 12 to 36 months but this depending on various factors such as skin type, sun exposure, age, skincare products, and lifestyle.
What do I need to do before my appointment?
12 hours: do not moisturise the brows as the drier the skin, the better the results.
24 hours: no alcohol, caffeine, ibuprofen, and aspirin.
3 days: do no wax, shave, or pluck your brows.
1 week: no tanning or tanning products.
2 weeks: no tinting. Do not take vitamin e, fish oil, blood thinners, or any vitamins that may cause blood to thin. Discontinue glycolics, chemical peels, exfoliants, retin-a, and brow growth serums.
1 month: botox
Who is it not suitable for?
You may not have the treatment if you are: under 18, pregnant, epileptic or diabetic (unless with a GP note), on accutane in the last year, have major heart problems, HIV, hepatitis or any other infectious or viral diseases, undergoing chemotherapy, on blood thining medication, or any that may affect how your skin responds to blood clotting and healing, develop infections easily, your previous tattoo is too dark or thick, prone to keloids, allergic to lidocaine, prilocaine, benzoncaine, tetracaine or epinephrine.
What if I do not like it?
We do our utmost to shape and style the brow to the client's satisfaction prior to the treatment. Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, but faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Uneven appearances, pigment discolouration, and colour correction can be addressed at the re-touch session.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits will be forfeited for any appointments rescheduled or cancelled within 48 hours. For any no shows or cancellations, you will be required to pay the full amount before re-booking.
